I don't see any compelling reason to update.
Babs & Gisella are not available in custom stories, and the rest should work with the existing version.

I personally don't understand why they didn't make Liz Katz available for custom stories. It's possible to see her naked in the game and have sex with her, so I really don't see any reason for the limitation.

I bought the latest DLC hoping that at least these two girls would be available for custom stories, but they limited them too.

And as for custom story upgrades, Eek has made a pretty big limit there too, because the latest version of CSC is 1.3.3 (at least as far as I know) -> viewtopic.php?t=65&f=9.

So, unfortunately, I think that's reason enough not to buy Office Party... with all these limits that we can see here, it's to be expected that Office Party will be even more limited.

It is important that the game engine allows Babs & Gisella to be loaded into a custom story. The rest can be done even without the latest version of CSC.

Tip: The game has two unusable characters: Amala and Doja Cat. I can use those names as placeholders for Babs and Gisella. Little tricky, but doable.

I think the only reason you can't use them currently is that latest CSC (1.4.2) was done before they were added into the game.

With that said, you could in theory add new objects to CSC, including characters, so they appear in dropdowns. Although it is a bit tricky, and not the way how CSC was supposed to be used.

I think you need a character file for the NPC in the custom story in order for EnableNPC to work from the console.

I just tested using your trick of replacing character names in the text files and was able to create custom story where both Babs and Gisella appear: viewtopic.php?t=2349
